Stained glass ensemble for a restaurant named Kibinine located in the city Trakai.

This restaurant serves the food of the Karaites people. Their ancestors were brought to Trakai from the Crimea by Grand Duke Vytautas to function as bodyguards. The distinctive wooden cottages of the Karaites people still line Karaimu Street in the city Trakai. Known today for its castles, Trakai once served as the capital of Lithuania.

In designing these windows, I used orange and brown glass as well as iron oxide paint to suggest very old drawings, aged by the passage of time.

Below are the principal drawings and a few poorly executed photographs of the actual work.

Two windows are located in the main dining area.

The window depicting a lone warrior is located in a private dining area and illuminated by artificial light installed in the wall.
